Spellcheck in Standalone -- doesn't work.

Hi. I'm using Zotero Standalone in Ubuntu 10.04. While the spellcheck highlights typos/misspellings in my notes, when I right-click on the offending word, nothing happens. Is there something I need to do to get it to work?

Many thanks.
  • Spellcheck isn't expected to work in Zotero's notes, and hasn't been since rich-text notes appeared in Zotero 2.0. To the extent that it does work, it's a fluke. This will be fixed eventually.
  • Thanks! Good to know.
  • PaulH,

I'm not using Standalone nor Ubunto (WinXP), but when I click on the HTML option in the menu bar, spell checking [sometimes] works. Then again, it might be a fluke. YMMV, but it's worth a try.
  • If I might make a suggestion here, why not use third-party spell checkers with Zotero? I've been using TinySpell as well as some of the auto-correcting programmes that run under Autohotkey, and in combination or alone, they all work very well. In fact, the latter are quite useful when accented letters are required, i.e., é è â, or François.
