Upgrade Storage"Science" Style in the repository and multiple consecutive numbers broken

The "science" citation style in the repository in conjunction with libreoffice and the corresponding plugin produces faulty output when multiple successively numbered citations are inserted: instead of e.g. "(1-5)" it produces "(1?5)" - please advise how to fix this - deadline looming ...
