need a special style format...

Hi,

does somebody knows a style similar to this?

First time in document:
Goffman, Erving: The presentation of self in everyday life. York 1980, S.19

short citation:
Goffman 1980, S.235

Thanks & Kind Regards!
  • not quite - roughtly similar styles could be Chicago Manual (Full Note) or "Kritische Ausgabe"
  • the long version of chigaco is perfect, but the short citation is way too different.. instead of the date, there is the title. but thanks!
  • doesn't exist then.
    https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/wiki/Requesting-Styles
  • so did my request.

for next versions of zotero´: isnt it possible to program something, so everyone can define his/her one style simply write codes of names: surname, name: title. edition. year date. in a field. like rip-programs name files automatically. or something like that.

if it would be so easy.. ;)

    Thanks so far!
  • I'm not sure someone will have time for this - as per "we don't have the time to create custom styles some professors require their students to use"

Citation styles are more complex than file names.
    You can look here:
    http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step
Mendeley started developing a citation style editor, but no one knows how that's coming.
  • like i wrote in my request: i think its a common way of citation in germany and not only from "some professor". especially the short one. i do understand that this is something people do without any personal benefits - so i only asked.

i did a short try to edit some style and get rid of the brackets of hwr berlin, but turns out i couldnt find any bracket in the document;) i am not used to csl...

    nice evening!
