advanced search window missing '+' / '-' signs to add multiple conditions

Hello,
In Ubuntu 11.04, installed as standalone, it seems to be working just
fine. I'm importing new entries from chrome.

I was testing the advanced search functionality and noticed that by
default, there was only one row available for specifying a single search condition.

The bug seems to be missing '+' or '-' signs or visible buttons at the right of the search condition row, that I should have available to be able to add or remove extra conditions for search.
The buttons seem to be there, if I hover my mouse over that area where they should appear visibly, but they are in general INVISIBLE, and only appear as small empty buttons (ie. without any signs on them to tell you what each button does) when I hover the mouse over them.
It took a while to figure out how to add an extra condition for search!

thanks!
A.
  • This is fixed on the trunk already. Thanks.
  • Hey Dan,
thanks for letting me know. What's the best way to let you guys know about such things?

I have another bug I noticed: When deleting an entry from the collection, the associated tags for the item are correctly deleted, but the refresh of the screen only deletes the entry itself from the main/central list of entries of books. It doesn't refresh automatically the list of tags actually available at the bottom left. If I click on a different subcollection or collection and then back to the original one from where the deletion happened, the refresh forced correctly displays the remaining tags (or rather, stops displaying the tags that initially appeared as available tags and were there due to only the book entry that was eventually deleted).

    Thanks,
    A.
  • axon - this is exactly how to report issues/bugs you find.
  • Hello folks,
when you have multiple entries (each with attached/linked files) and you search for a tag or something else, often times the result will be an expanded display the entries/rows that satisfy those criteria, EVEN when one starts with all entries displayed in minimized form (ie. the left hand side triangle for each entry is pointing west, towards the entry itself, instead of south, revealing the attached documents of the entry).

It makes total sense to me to expand an entry if a tag for example is associated to an attachment, and this expansion makes it clear for me to know where to look inside an entry.

On the other side, what is currently missing is a button to click to
collapse the tree, or expand it, with just one click.
If it's missing, it becomes a hassle to have to collapse each entry individually of many, to maximize viewing of entries.

I couldn't locate such "expand/collapse all entries" function in the menu either. My apologies if I missed it. I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 and zotero standalone 3.0b2.1.

    Thanks,
    A.
  • collapse/expand all entries works simply by pressing the + or - key on the keyboard.
Please use new threads for new issues.
