bibtex export non latin characters
Hi, zotero is great, but I have a problem to export data as a bibtext file. If there are Non-Latin characters, I get errors: If there is written "München" I get a "Mu?nchen" instead of "M{\"u}nchen". What are I am doing wrong?
I us ubuntu 11.10 with firefox 7.0.1 and zotero 2.1.10 with iso 8859-1.

Edit: Sorry, looks like you did that. But make sure-- that's precisely what causes this...
Thanks!
But there is no ascii export in zotero (http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/8165/=)
Joachim
I have Thai, Chinese etc, but not ascii. We are talking about the export settings, aren't we?
Thanks!
unfortunatly I using a german version of zotero :-(
and there is definitly not such an entry. I will switch to the us-version now!
an unvisible hand seems to give you this ascii-export possibility. Also in my fresh us-version of zotero there is nothing to find like this.
Can you take a screenshot of the export menu in the US build, upload it somewhere (e.g., imageshack.us), and post a link here?
now with the us version of firefox and zotero nearly everything is all right -- if the encoding is correct!

Here the bibtex export works.
But with library of congress
http://catalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?v1=1&ti=1,1&Search%5FArg=%C3%A4ngste&Search%5FCode=GKEY%5E%2A&CNT=100&type=quick&PID=u91ajD3Ik61lw_7L0eSTboU3Vsx36&SEQ=20111115105650&SID=1
I get a" instead of ä and in the bibtex file I get a? .
An with worldcat
http://www.worldcat.org/title/angste-des-kindes/oclc/19935905&referer=brief_results
I get a instead of ä and also a in the bibtex file.
The search entry "Ängste" is written well on these pages and firefox is able to show äs etc. on other pages.
It is definitely the wrong place to ask, but: Is this an error of this pages or can I fix it with settings in firefox?
Thank you so much
Joachim
