Word processor plugin won't install
When try to install the plug-in for Word, I keep getting the following error message:
"Installation could not be completed because an error occurred. Please ensure that Microsoft Word is closed, and then restart Firefox."
Since Word isn't open, not apparent what the problem is. Using Firefox version 6.0.2, and newest versions of Zotero and the Word plug-in. We removed and reloaded Firefox and Zotero, and still have the same problem. Have Word Version 7.
I have had the Word plug-in before. Have always had to manually connect Word to the appropriate file location for the plug-in to work -- but for some reason the zotero.dot file is no longer in the install file where it used to be, and I can't get into the XPI file for the plug-in just to extract that piece and save it into the appropriate location.

Not that it will fix this, but as a matter of principle you should upgrade to FF 7 - FF 6 doesn't receive critical updates any longer.
The error usually comes up because of permission issues - most likely reason is that you don't have write permission for the Word startup folder where Zotero tries to install the zotero.dot.
Oh - and create an error report ID after a failed install and post it here.

So if I upgrade to 7, there should be no problem?
