Geographical Locations for Items

High on my Zotero wish list is a way to associate an item with a geographical location or multiple locations. Maybe there could be a "location" tab next to "tags" and "related" that would allow users to enter latitude and longitude, which could then be linked to Google Maps or Yahoo! Maps.

I want to strongly second this recommendation. As an environmental historian, it would be very helpful to have fields that could store location data that could later be exported to ArcGIS.

But what might be the semantics of location in this context? It doesn't seem to make much sense unless Zotero were to add an explicit notion of Place, and somehow allow items to be associated with those places (through, say, tags).
