There was an error starting Zotero

I have been using Zotero successfully for some time. I recently had a power outage which caused several files from other applications to be corrupted. On trying to use Zotero I was unable to access it. I uninstalled Mozila Firefox and reinstalled it. I then reinstalled Zotero. I shut down my system and rebooted after each step, but I still keep getting the "There was an error starting Zotero" message. I normally run all my files from an external hard drive as I use two laptops, one at work and another one at home. I do not use my Zotero on a network.

I cannot start Zotero, so I cannot obtain a report ID.
I installed Firefox version 7.0.1 and Zotero version 2.1.10.
My operating system is Windows 7 Professional with SP1. 64bit OS.

I followed the instructions for Reporting Zotero Startup Errors and the following is the error message I obtained:

I hope you can assist me to correct my problem as I have much valuable research information in my Zotero files.
