I can see Zotero tool bar detached from Mac Word 2008 but...

When I have firefox running & I can see my zotero references, when I click on my Mac Word document, I can see the zotero tool bar in the upper left hand corner, but when I click on "add citation" nothing happens.

Help!
  • Yes, I have Mac 2008 and I know this is not supposed to happen - I know it's not supposed to have a tool bar... but trust me, it's there.

    from the other thread:
"provide information on all of your version numbers - zotero, wordplugin, OS, Firefox, and Word"

(but as Dan says in the other thread - while it may be possible to somehow get the toolbar to show up, it will never do anything - hence the Zotero Menu in the apple script menu).
  • Thank you for responding!

Geez! I thought my dissertation was difficult - but nothing compared to getting this to work!

    I'm on a MacBoook Pro - Mac OS X - Version 10.5.8
    Firefox - 5.0.1
When I click on the AppleScripts icon, this is what it says:

To add a script or workflow to this menu, copy it to the Word Script Menu Items folder located in your Documents / Microsoft User Data folder.

    What does THAT mean?!
  • From the other thread:
"Note that using the [word] plugins with Firefox 4 and higher requires OS X 10.6 or higher, so if you're using FF 4+, no need to start a new thread - you'll need to downgrade FF or upgrade your OS. "
