location in archive

Is there a style which actually exports the Loc. in Archive field? I have been saving old archival pictures by taking snapshots of their metadata pages in a digitized archive (which doesn't support any type of citation export), changing type to Artwork, and then adding some basic metadata manually in the relevant fields.

Now I'd want to generate a list of these records with titles, artists, dates and and location in archive. Unfortunately, none of the styles seems to actually output data in the Location in Archive field. Any suggestions?

You can use one of the Chicago styles--if you have any problems please report them here.

This is what I get with Chicago author-date:

Stoevesandt/Funke. 1927. Frau Schosser mit Afrikanerinnen bei Handarbeiten. http://www.staatsarchiv-bremen.findbuch.net/php/rechter_ve_e.php?ar_id=3672&id=45888&exp=res&be_id=3170 (Accessed January 21, 2008).

If I delete the URL and Accessed fields, I get this:

Stoevesandt/Funke. 1927. Frau Schosser mit Afrikanerinnen bei Handarbeiten.

Location in archive, in this case '7.1025-2300-3', still doesn't show up. Same for the other Chicago styles.

Go to http://www.zotero.org/styles/, scroll down to Dev Styles, then click on "Install" next to "Chicago Manual of Style (Full Note with Bibliography)"--this style displays archival info for artworks.

Actually all Chicago note styles in the Dev Section now display archival info for artworks, reports, and all unpublished item types.
  • It works! This is what I get:

Stoevesandt/Funke. Frau Schosser Mit Afrikanerinnen Bei Handarbeiten. 1927. 7.1025-2300-3.
