Multilingual references
This is a query on something that was discussed in two previous threads (http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/855/chinese-and-japanese/ and http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/1798/) in 2007 and 2008. Yet, having read it all, I can't see apractical solution to the questions raised. Basically, as of today, when I grab a Chinese or Japanese reference, say from Worldcat or Harvard/Hollis, I only get the transliterated fields for author, title, etc. The original characters in Chine or Japanese are lost.
This is a stumbling block for those who work constantly with such references. Has there been any progress since 2008 or did I miss something in terms of formatting or adding some plugin? Thans for any advice.

The original character import still won't work in every database, since we need to make some changes to the site translators to put the versions of the data in the proper fields. I believe it should work for Voyager databases (among others, the Library of Congress).
