Weird syncing problem

I read the posts about syncing problems, but none of them seems to apply to mine. When I push the sync button, syncing starts, but at 32% or at 37% it stops with a message to start again, or else restart the computer, and start again. But when I start again, the same thing happens. No failure code appears or whatever. Moreover, I cannot stop the sync. Curiously, when I look in 'my library'the syncing of the most recent posts has been done correctly.
