Store references in document

I have been looking around for more information on what "store references in documents" feature involves, and more specifically what your vision is for this intriguing idea in the future. Can you please point me to a discussion of the vision and mechanics of this, or can you describe the idea here a bit more fully.

Thanks again, and again!
  • Here's the initial discussion on the CSL development listserv:

The basic idea is that you don't need groups anymore to collaborate on a document and you are (or will be, not sure) able to collaborate with a Mendeley user. In the medium run you would also be able to retrieve the citation information from the document into Zotero, but as I understand that's not yet possible.
  • This is, as you are aware, a powerful idea! The Mendeley part is important because it signals the future emergence of a standard method for transmitting citation metadata within a document. Very very cool!

I look forward to reading more about this. Yet another stunning innovation!
