Upgrade StorageUpdate of installed style?

How can I check if styles I downloaded are up-to-date? Do I have to manually reinstall each of them?

Alternatively you can check whether the update date in
preferences --> Cite --> Styles
corresponds to the date of the style on the repository, though that doesn't strike me as much faster.
My understanding is that the capability for auto-updating is there (translators are already auto-updated and the mechanism would be exactly the same) and that it's something that will be implemented, though I'm not aware of a timeline, nor of the exact concerns that are holding this back.
