Group Library and pdf Search daa

We have a group library, using Zotero storage.

Its very useful to have the pdf search done, so that you can search inside pdf's that we attach to all the citations in our group library.

The question we have is. Is the search text database only stored locally, or does it also get stored in the zotero storage area of our cloud storate.

i.e. does each user have to Index a local pdf database?

Or can we have it also stored centrally so everyone can use one pdf index, when looking at our library???

Is the search text database only stored locally

Currently, yes, and users will have to rebuild their full-text indexes from the Zotero preferences (or individually on specific attachments) to search synced files.

This situation will be improved in the not-too-distant future, though, so stay tuned.
