More problems with sync....now receive error message regarding storage

1985820505
I have purchased additional storage so am confused by message.
  • (NS_ERROR_STORAGE_CONSTRAINT) [mozIStorageStatement.execute]" nsresult: "0x80630003 (NS_ERROR_STORAGE_CONSTRAINT)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/db.js :: :: line 139" data: no] [QUERY: INSERT INTO relations (libraryID, subject, predicate, object, clientDateModified) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?, ?)] [ERROR: columns subject, predicate, object are not unique]
That's just an internal error message—nothing to do with Zotero File Storage.

This will be fixed in the next 3.0 beta release.
  • The problem is that I can't see my students' groups and their folders. Please advise. Has the previous problem (that you had me send to support and upload) be resolved? I greatly appreciate your help.
  • This issue will be fixed in the next 3.0 beta release. You're using beta software, and bugs are to be expected. (The fix for the other issue didn't require you to upgrade.)

As a potential workaround, you can install the trunk dev XPI, which contains the fix, and try to sync. Despite the warnings on that page, it should be fairly safe to use at the moment, but you should absolutely switch back to 3.0b2 afterwards. Do not keep the trunk XPI installed.

I already responded to your other issue.
  • I installed; still doesn't work. I am trying to install the trunk file - where would it be?
  • I meant uninstall the trunk file....
  • you installed what exactly? The trunk xpi is linked to in Dan's last post. It would just appear like regular Zotero, you can only tell a difference in "About Zotero" or in FF's add-ons bar, where, instead of a regular version number, you'll see someing like 3.0.r10433.
  • to uninstall the trunk, just re-install the beta from the zotero homepage.
  • "doesn't work" isn't enough info. As far as we know, the issue you reported is fixed on the trunk. If it's not, we need to know that. Provide a Report ID and a Debug ID for a sync attempt that produces the error with the trunk XPI installed.
  • The add on shown is numbered 3.0b2r.10423; not sure if that is the trunk file but I will just remove and reinstall as whatever I installed is still not working. I greatly appreciate your help, too!
  • that's the trunk alright. Restart FF, then provide the Report and Dbeug ID for a failed sync as requested by Dan.
  • Debug D1691567864
  • Please review the Debug ID instructions. We need one that covers the sync attempt.
