Choosing application to open PDF files
Hi,
I just installed Zotero standalone 3.0beta on my Ubuntu 10.04 box. In my Ubuntu's system preferences, I have set the preferred application for PDF files to Evince. However, when I open a PDF attachment from within Zotero standalone, I would like it to be opened in Adobe Reader. Where can I choose which application Zotero standalone uses for opening PDF files?
Cheers,
Andreas.

You might be able to get it to open in a different external program (if that's what you mean) if 1) you have a PDF plugin in Firefox (so that Zotero opens the file through Firefox instead) and 2) adjust your file handling settings in Firefox to use the external program instead.
There's no way to configure what program Zotero uses separately, because Zotero doesn't use a program—it just passes it to Firefox or to the system.
