new trick: duplicate detection for metadata cleanup
Just wanted to pass along this tip--for group libraries, users often input items with crappy metadata, usually due to import from substandard catalog or database. It used to be a pain to repair this because it required creating a new item, moving the PDF, if it existed, into the new item, and duplicating the tags and collections for the new item. With the nice new duplicate detection feature, you can go to a decent catalog, search by article title, import, and then merge the new and old metadata with duplicate detection, which preserves tags and collections.
