No need to post errors from the error report—just a Report ID. None of those errors have anything to do with Zotero. But you do need to tell us the message that Zotero is actually giving you.
That message would be in the error report. I'm talking about the dialog box that Zotero initially displays when you get the error, which should explain to you exactly what the problem is (i.e., that you no longer have access to a particular library and need to reset your groups, which it gives you an option to do right from the dialog box).
I click on the green sync arrow; it spins and then a red exclamation point appears. I click on the red explanation mark and another box appears which states Error: cannot make changes to library. I have the option to report error, which I do. I have reinstalled the app several times, but I still receive the message. Thanks!
Disable your other Firefox extensions, and provide a Report ID and a Debug ID for a sync attempt that reproduces this. You shouldn't be able to get that message without a dialog box popping up when you sync.
I greatly appreciated your willingness to help. I just tried to send the debug report and received another error message....invalid response from server.
In any case, install the trunk dev XPI (make a backup of your Zotero data directory for good measure, but don't worry about the warnings on that page, which don't really apply at the moment) and then try again to provide a Debug ID. After you do, switch back to the release version of 3.0b2.
This should be easy to fix, but it shouldn't have been possible in the first place. Can you upload your database to the DB Repair Tool and e-mail the Upload ID from the tool to support@zot....org, with a link to this thread? Don't post your Upload ID publicly. You can ignore the download link the tool provides, which won't fix your issue.
OK, I've put in a fix for this in the DB Repair Tool. Upload your database to that and follow the instructions for replacing your current one. Be sure to make a backup first, as the page advises.
