Data DB version newer than SQL file

Hi,
I was working on a newer computer with zotero 2.1.6 but as I'm going travelling I'm taking my old ibook G4 - osx 10.3.9 - with zotero 1.01.10.
I copied my zotero library to the old computer but now I get a warning message saying that 'Zotero user data DB version is newer than SQL file' and I cannot use Zotero at all now.
I understand that part of the problem is that I cannot update my firefox version because the newest version that will work on this mac is the one I have (2.0.0.20).
Is there anyway I can make my library compatible with the old zotero version?
Thanks so much in advance!
marta
  • There's no good way to do this. It would be possible to export your library as Zotero RDF and import it into Zotero 1.01.10, but you'll break all the documents you've written in the word plugins by doing so, and you'll have a hard time moving back to the newer computer without creating duplicates.

Is it really not possible to upgrade to OS X 10.4? The requirements are met, at least. That would let you use Firefox 3.6 and stick with Zotero 2.1.
  • Hi ajlyon,
thanks so much for the quick reply. uhmm... yes, sounds a bit tricky. I don't think I can upgrade to 10.4 but will try to do a bit for research about it.
    thanks again!
