Items saved with Chrome Connector 2.999.1 do not appear unless pane is closed and then re-opened

Hi,

I'm having problems with the Connector 2.999.1 for Google Chrome and Zotero 3.0b1. When I to try save a citation using Chrome, the little bubble which says "Saving Item..." appears at the bottom of my screen, but it doesn't immediately send the citation to Zotero. I have to close the Zotero window in Firefox, then re-open it, before it shows up. And when it does show up, the Author field is blank.

I tried using Firefox to save citations and I had the same problem.

Any ideas?

    If you save from Chrome without Zotero Standalone open, items won't appear in your local database until you sync, either by closing and re-opening the pane or clicking the sync button.

    The author issue is something we think we've fixed for 3.0b2.
