What exactly does ?sort=note do?

I used ?sort=note do? in the URL and my report is now sorted differently. But I cannot for figure out what it is sorted by.

Also, my about:config does not have extensions.zotero.combineChildItems. I have updated zotero.

    Sorry, make that extensions.zotero.report.combineChildItems.

    I still don't see it. The report looks the same ?sort=dateAdded and ?sort=note in the URL. (I change the url and I hit enter to make sure it takes effect.) extensions.zotero.report.combineChildItems is disabled.

    When it does work, what of the note is it supposed sort by? First word? Date note added? Tag?

    Well, you can test this by typing in the beginning of three different notes:

    1.1 ...
    1.2 ...
    2.2 ...

    Then select only these three notes and create a report. they should sort in the order above.
