How many items can I store in the 100 MB free space?

My free space is half used (50MB). But I just stored <300 items. I am not sure if I wasted some space. Is this normal? I think I dis not save any linked file in the space. How can I see the size of each item?

    the storage space is only filled up by attached files - items without attachments do not affect your storage quota. Note that html snapshots do count as attached files and are synced.
    You can store a (quasi) unlimited number of items with data only at no cost and without affecting your storage quota (I for example have >1000 items and my storage is filled to .6%). If you don't need syncing of attachments turn it off in the sync tab of the preferences.
    You cannot see the size of each item easily.
