Word processing Plugin Citation based on pdf files

How can I achieve that if I cite from a .pdf that valuable metadata is shown when inserting a citation in WORD instead of the mere link to the jstor article: “1880746.pdf (objeto application/pdf)”, [s.d.], 2, http://www.jstor.org.ez11.periodicos.capes.gov.br/stable/pdfplus/1880746.pdf?acceptTC=true. Or way round: How do I get proper metadata into Zotero if choosing to store a .pdf file?
  • use http://www.zotero.org/support/retrieve_pdf_metadata
if you already have the pdf
more ideally, import the correct data - often together with the attached pdf (certainly for JSTOR)- right away by using the icon in the URL bar.
  • Oh I see, the prob. was that I had not installed the pdftotext app in Zoteros Preferences/Search Menue Section to be able to retrieve metadata! And I should have changed the menue language from Brazilian to English to have a better orientation:-)
