Moving From Trash

I mistakenly thought that by 'deleting' items from a collection that I was merely removing them from the collection, not sending them to trash. So how do I move them from trash back to a collection or the library? Dragging and dropping doesn't work. The option to cut & paste is greyed out. Help. I have a lot of books that are in the trash simply because I placed them in the wrong collection to begin with. What now?
  • deleting an item from a collection (i.e. pressing delete while the item is selected) does indeed just delete it from that collection and not from the library. For that you have to either right-click -> delete item(s) from library --> confirm or delete the item while you're in "My Library".
To restore items in the trash, select them and click "Restore To Library" in the right pane.
  • Thanks, that saved me a ton of work. I was expecting -- after selecting an item -- to be able to right click & restore, or drag & drop, or use the tool bar at the top. The right pane seems nonconformative to the way other programs work. But, again, thanks.
  • I agree, I don't find that button and its location intuitive at all.
