NEED HELP! citation style became inconsistent...

I use Microsoft Office 2007 along with Zotero. I set the default style as "Chicago Manual of Style (Author-Date format), and it has been working for some time. However, everything got messed up in the current document I'm working on. Normally, citation should be shown as (Smith 2001) or (Jolie and Pitt 2011). But now, though some citations are still shown in this format, others become (Patricia Pessar 1999) or (Mahler and Patricia R. Pessor 2006). How can I fix this problem? Please help, thank you!!!
