open office integration in OSX

Hello,

I just switched to a brand new Mac, and I'm having the hardest time getting zotero to work.

I currently run Oo 3.3; Firefox 3.6; zotero 2.1.8; Oo integration 3.5.a2

I actually got all sorts of errors, and tried anything I could find on the forums here, from reinstalling an older firefox, an older Oo integration, desinstalling and reinstalling the integration piece, .
"an error occured communicating with zotero" with all kinds of java errors after that

right before this I got a neat "Firefox could not load the component required to communicate with your word processor"

I even tried to switch to the standalone version, without success

does anyone have a clue ?
  • Check the version of the Zotero extension within OpenOffice.org. If it isn't 3.5a2, follow these steps. If it is 3.5a2, post a screenshot of the error you're getting. (You can use a free image hosting service such as ImageShack or TinyPic to upload the image.)
  • I checked the zotero extension in openoffice. it's 3.5a2

as for the screenshot, it's here : http://tinypic.com/r/2dw6c1u/7

It looks like you're trying to edit a document that uses Word fields in OpenOffice.org. You can't. You need to open it in Word and switch to Bookmarks in the Zotero Document Preferences, or create a new document.
  • yes, it works in a new document.

    thanks for your help
