Can't sync; login not accepted

I'm unable to sync files. Keep getting error messages that my username and/or password are incorrect. Have no trouble using same ones to log onto my account for posting the report here.
I've double-checked my typing, capitalization, etc., and re-entered them multiple times, but to no avail.
Closed all tabs and closed Firefox, then reopened with fresh screen. Problem still persists.
Shut down computer and restarted; still can't sync

    Try again, and provide a Debug ID for a sync attempt that produces the error.

    I'm afraid there's really no answer here other than that you've entered the wrong password in the Sync pane of the Zotero preferences.

    A library patron is having this exact same issue right now. He logged into the Zotero web site with the same username/pswd that he used in the preferences window and got onto the zotero web site no problem.

    He retyped his password.
    He restarted FF and put his username and password in again.
    Still no luck.

    I was finally able to get around this issue by submitting request to change my Zotero password. Once that was done, I could log in both to the account AND sync my files once again.
