Zotero won't open in browser

I am able to add citations from Zotero library to my word document but when I click on the shaded part on the bottom right of the browser window, it won't open. Thus I can't add any new sources to the Zotero library.

Any help would be most appreciated.

    disable all other add-ons, themes, and personas and try again.
    See if the shortcut to open Zotero (ctrl+alt+z on Windows) works.
