Zotero Citation Editor

When I use the Editor feature with adding/editing citations I have a couple of problems. First, when I add a space between the reference and citation notes that I want to add, it gives me the html tag for a non-breaking space (nbsp) in the the footnote/endnote (both in Word and NeoOffice...and then later in the editor). Then (problem #2) when I try to use the editor to either correct this or add other information to notes, it doesn't want to let me edit anything but kicks me to the beginning of the citation.

Any thoughts?
