firefox no responding

When I try to attach a pdf file to zotero, firefox gets 'no responding' message on windows title bar for about 20-30 seconds and then is restore to normal. Does it only happen to me? What would be the problem? Any help?

    That's happening because the interface currently freezes up a little while the text of a PDF is being indexed for searching. There are plans to change things so the indexing happens in the background, preventing this annoyance, but that hasn't happened yet. The pause should be hardly noticeable on sufficiently powerful computers.

    Thanks for the response. Is there anything I can do to alleviate the problem meanwhile?
