MLA bibliography won't generate when same author has more than one entry

Hi, I get the following error when trying to generate a bibliography in MLA:

"An error occurred generating your bibliography. Please try again."

This error only occurs when I have multiple entries written by a single author, but it always happens when this is the case, so I have to generate multiple bibliographies, making sure that I include only one of the author's works at a time. This doesn't seem to faze other citation styles, however. I'm using Zotero version 1.01 on Firefox 2.0.0.11 on an IBM-Compatible. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  • would normally let the developers answer this, but since its the holidays you may have a wait.

this is a known problem, and has been fixed in the latest developer release. Had the same problem and switched to the developer release 2-3 months ago... all works great. go to http://dev.zotero.org/svn_and_trac_access and download the latest dev xpi using the link at the bottom of the page. Please be aware that the auto update does not work consistently with the dev releases. I will sometimes have to download the latest file and drag-and-drop it into FireFox to install.
  • Wow, fantastic, thanks so much, it works! For the sake of completeness, it still doesn't quite generate proper MLA--when an author has more than one entry in the bibliography, each entry after the first should omit the author name and insert three dashes instead; mine keeps relisting the author name for each entry. But that having been said, as long as it generates the bibliography, I can easily insert "---" myself. Thanks again for your help arossman.
