Firefox 4 not compatible with Zotero?

I am still getting a notice every time I start up my computer saying that I cannot use Zotero without downgrading my firefox to 3.6
  • Zotero 2.1.x is compatible with FF 4 (and is or will be with FF up through 6) - your Zotero copy should update automatically or you can do it manually from the homepage - the only exception are Mac OS X systems with versions before 10.6 - Zotero won't run on those with FF 4, so you either need to update your OS or downgrade your FF.
  • And that OS X issue is only for the Word plugin, not Zotero itself.
  • How do I downgrade to a earlier version of Firefox?
  • I seem to have entered a weird place where my Zotero isn't really working and the Word plug-in is annoyed and I really don't know what to do next....and I am working on my thesis!
  • Is it a good idea to upgrade to OS 10.6...I suppose I could simply do that, right?
  • if upgrading to 10.6 is easy to do for you yes, that would most likely take care of your Zotero issues.
  • I am not altogether sure how to upgrade to 10.6 or if my computer has enough oooph to handle it. I have an "older" (2008?) MacBook with 10.5 and the following specs:

    Hardware Overview:

    Model Name: MacBook
    Model Identifier: MacBook3,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
    L2 Cache: 4 MB
    Memory: 2 GB
    Bus Speed: 800 MHz
    Boot ROM Version: MB31.008E.B02
    SMC Version (system): 1.24f3
    Serial Number (system): W8745X9DZ63
    Hardware UUID: 59A22EB2-9159-5A9F-BF4B-C13BEC940227
    Sudden Motion Sensor:
    State: Enabled

    Is this adequate?

Your laptop should have enough oomph.
  • Thank you.
