Zotero and EndNote not playing well together
I am attempting to get Zotero installed on the library training computers at my university. However, last semester computers with the Zotero plugin newly installed somehow blocked imports or otherwise upset EndNote, which is already installed on the computers. Also, though the computers are supposed to be wiped after each user logs off, earlier user's Zotero libraries were visible to the next user. (Privacy is a really big deal.) So Zotero was universally unplugged on campus training computers.
It is claimed here that this is a "known issue" though I think what is meant by that is that they knew about it and uninstalled Zotero to"fix" it. Not that Zotero knows about it. Why is this happening? How can I prevent it? Can I get a work around?
If I can't get Zotero installed, I can't teach people how to use it and they will be left with EndNote and RefWorks as their only options.

1. There is a preference in Zotero to automatically open RIS imports (general preferences) otherswise used by Endnote. It's checked by default, but disabling this will take care of that interference with Endnote.
2. That's for your IT people to figure out and not really a Zotero issue - Zotero saves its library as part of the mozilla profile. If there is a wipe script that run on each log-out, it shouldn't be hard to include the zotero folder. More reasonable computer set-ups - such as roaming profiles like any well managed university's IT department has for their students - don't have this problem in the first place.
