cleaning up "unlocatable" files after synchronization

I have been doing a lot of "by hand" cleanup of a moderate size library (about 1000 items) and have discovered that many entries claim to have two attached files, but one of those files "cannot be located". Is there some automated way to scan the local directory structure to find those zotero entries that are no longer valid?
