Upgrade Storage654156304 Zotero/OpenOffice integration
I can't remember whether this was to be posted to this forum or the OO one, so I will post it in both.
I have been using Zotero & OpenOffice for about the past two years on Mac OSX 10.6.6 with no problems. I've recently installed the update of OpenOffice, and have now found that I can't see/access the Zotero toolbar in OO, meaning that I cannot input citations into my documents. I have followed steps provided on the OO forums but to no avail - reinstalling the integrations/extensions does not work. I just receive an error message telling me to close OO and restart Firefox.
This is really annoying me. I am months away from finishing my PhD thesis so I really hope someone is able to help with this, as it's really too late to be switching to another reference management system.

Also, what versions of Zotero, Firefox, the plugin, and Ooo are you using?
What does the error report refer to exactly - i.e. after triggering what error did you send it?
I get to Step 3 and click the 'preferences' button. This takes me through to a screen that says, "The Zotero OpenOffice...extension is not currently installed." I have tried two things here -
1. Click on 'Get Word Processor plug ins'. I follow this, download the appropriate plug in, re-start Firefox, and end up back at the same page as above with no change.
2. Click on 'Install Extension', which takes me to the installation wizard. Check the appropriate box (Applications/OpenOffice.org.app/Contents/MacOS/unopkg) --> Continue. It thinks for a while, and then I get a message that says, "Zotero OpenOffice INtegration: Installation could not be completed because an error occurred. Please ensure that OpenOffice.org is closed, and then restart Firefox".
OpenOffice was already closed & restarting Firefox achieves nothing; the same problem occurs when I try again. I have tried restarting my computer, cleaning history etc, to no avail.
It will then say, "Installation Complete: An error occurred installing Zotero OpenOffice.org...Integration. Click the "Previous button and verify that the application path is correct. If this error persists, click the button below to submit an error report".
This is when I submitted the report.
Firefox - 4.0.1
Zotero - 2.1.6 (the most recent update for mac?)
Plug in - I am trying to use 2.1. As I mentioned, it had previously worked fine with older versions, but I'm not sure if that was Zotero, the plug in, or OOo.
OOo - 3.2.0
