Series is Edice not Série
Thesis is Vysokoškolská kvalifikační práce not Teze
Edition is Vydání not Edice

Agreed on vydání. I'm a little concerned about 'Vysokoškolská kvalifikační práce' -- couldn't we get away with 'teze', even if it is a little archaic? It's also much shorter...

Are you sure about 'edice'? Note that 'serie' is referring to the collective name of a number of books that come out under a single name, possibly linked by topic or some other broad qualifier. "Edice" doesn't, as far as I know, usually have that meaning...

I have consulted it at the university library. It is as I wrote.
"Teze" means hypothesis.
"Edice" is exctly "the collective name of a number of books that come out under a single name, possibly linked by topic or some other broad qualifier".

thesis -- diplomová n. doktorská práce

series -- série, řada, ale
series title -- titul seriálu nebo edice
series statement -- název, titul seriálu nebo edice
series note -- ediční poznámka
series area -- místo pro označení ediční řady

So we should use "vysokoškolská kvalifikační práce" for "thesis", I suppose. The length of item type names isn't terribly problematic, so I suppose it'll work.

And thanks for confirming "teze" and "edice".
