Upgrade StorageID: 872130870 - Problem with uploading file?

the situation is as follows. I have laptop running OS X and FF4. That seems to sync and run fine.
I have a WinXP running FF4 which gives me trouble. When syncing it gives 'Het bestand '834H6M4Q/Begemann - 1996 - Recensie The long-term psychological adjustment o.pdf' kon niet worden aangemaakt in de Zotero opslagmap.'
This can be translated as: 'The file .... could not be stored in the Zotero directory'. When I look in my FF-profile directory the 834H6M4Q-dir exists (both on my Mac as my office machine). Only the laptop also holds the file (which is where I first added it).
IMPORTANT: I can't seem to find an entry for the file in my references (so, there is a file but not a reference it refers to) neither on my laptop nor on my Windows machine. I'm willing to take my loss on this single reference because I still have it. But the problem is my Windows machine can't be synced...
