Attempt to install Zotero 2.1.6 on Firefox Portable 4 seems to hang

I attempted to follow instructions (now moved to portabelnapps) for installing FFP and Zotero. I have FFP running and then I try to install Zotero.... I get the dialog and select install and then it seems that the app just freezes and it becomes non-responsive. Looking in the process table it appears that the processes memory usage continues to climb.... Is this just so glacial that it only looks like it is hanging, or has something gone terribly wrong ;-)

    Turns out the install is just incredibly slow.....

    However, when attempting to do the word processor plugin, the installer could not locate the unopkg.exe file in the portable app libreoffice.
