Export/Import Annotations?

Is there any way to export my annotations and highlighting so I can open them up on a different computer? I really need to do this for an assignment that I did without realizing that this may not yet be implemented (oops).
  • Annotations and highlighting can't be exported and imported currently, but you can move your entire Zotero library to another computer by copying the data directory to the other computer.
  • Any suggestions to get around this? I'm interested in using Zotero to help manage the information gathered and collected by a cohort of summer interns. I was hoping to have them highlight the sources for their work so I could do some quality control.

I've thought of several options. If anyone has ideas, please let me know.

OPTION A - (seems possible based on posts elsewhere) I could put my library on a shared drive and have them do their research out of my offices. The main limitation appears to be that only one user can access the library at a time. And most of my student interns prefer to do their research from home or elsewhere.

OPTION B - (Is this possible? or even desireable?) Each student could save their own libraries, and if this feature is available in future versions, I will merge libraries later. However, can there be multiple copies or will saving a student library on my hard drive override my own? [A possible solution around that would be to look at their libraries from a USB port]

OPTION C - I could have students do the highlighting using Adobe Acrobat and then after importing their collections, manually attach copies of highlighted pdfs. The main drawback is the expense of Adobe Acrobat on so many computers.

    Any thoughts are much appreciated.
