Upgrade StorageSmall caps don't work in OpenOffice

I have a problem. I use OpenOffice 2.3.1 (the problem is the same with 2.3) and Zotero 1.0.1. My style use small caps for the author and they work whit an exception: when I edit the note in the Zotero dialog to make a prefix italic, the small caps became
\scaps Emil Cioran\scaps0
(Emil Cioran is the author)!!!
