Incompatibility between Zotero and Firestox

Zotero is a great addon. However, the Zotero addon does not work with Firestox addon (http://www.firestox.com)(incompatibility? conflict?). I do not know if the problem comes from Zotero or Firestox but deactivating Firestox makes Zotero working well.It is a pitty as I use Firestox since many years and I really love it. Does someone has the same problem?
  • As far as I can tell, that add-on doesn't work with Firefox versions newer than 3.0b3, which is three years old and not compatible with Zotero 2.1.
  • @Simon: you are almost right. The addon has been developped for Firefow 3.0x but, using some tricks (install.rdf), many people (including myself) are using it with newer version of Firefox. I used it with Firefow 4 and it is working really well. There are no conflits or any other problems with any of the 15 other addons but .. Zotero.
As I need Zotero (great addon), I deactivated Firefox but I would prefer hwing both working, if it is possible.
When Firestox is activated, the Zotero pane does not display any of my references. It is empty.

    Thanks
  • yeah, but that means that Firestox doesn't comply with current FF add-on standards and is almost certainly the culprit - not much to be done, unless someone is willing to fix Firestox - it's hard to believe that there is no updated alternative?
