APSA: Problems with Capitalization of Mc*, Mac*, etc.
I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out why certain author names aren't being capitalized as they should. The name "Susan McMurphy Smith" is an example, where "Smith" is the last name the author goes by (and the last name entered into my library), and "Susan McMurphy" is the first/middle name (capitalized just like that in my library, entered as the first name). In the bibliography, the entry should read:
Smith, Susan McMurphy. 2011. (rest of citation)
Instead, what I'm getting is:
Smith, Susan Mcmurphy. 2011. (rest of citation)
I happen to be using the American Political Science Association's format, but the same capitalization problem manifests in CMS author-date (which is what APSA's format is based on). I monkeyed with the CSL for the APSA file by arbitrarily taking out any reference to text-case="lowercase", but the problem persists. Incidentally, capitalization of any Mc/Mac/etc. occurs just fine when the name is present in a last name field (e.g., Susan McMurphy). Is there some behavior governing capitalization the first name author field that I'm missing/need to define?

fbennettThanks for reporting this. It's clearly caused by a processor bug, and will be fixed in the next release.

fbennettI've introduced a fix, and made a fresh processor release. You should find that this problem goes away in the next Zotero version.
