show icon to capture reference in URL bar BEFORE FF is done loading the page

Hi, the icon to capture reference in URL bar only appears at the end of the loading process (or when I press esc). Is it possible that this icon shows up at an earlier point so that the user does not have to wait for the webpage to load? That would speed up the process of adding references and eliminate unnecessary waiting times.
