Upgrade StorageZotero and Firefox 4.0: Slow and unreliable
Dear all,
I use zotero 2.1.5 in FF 4.0 with the OOo integration 3.5a1 in ubuntu 10.10. My texts are longer with around 200 footnotes and have been composed before the upgrade.
After the FF-upgrade and all other necessary upgrades zotero changed its behavior and becomes very frustrating to use.
1. The integration now works very, very slowly. It needs around half a minute from click on "Insert Citation" until the dialogue to select the citation actually shows up. Same with changing citations.
2. It does not always work at all. Sometimes, ca. every 3-5 insertions, the plugin creates the grayed "citation" sign -- and gets stuck at this point. No error message appears, OOo just keeps working as usual but I cannot enter this or any other citation until I delete this field and restart firefox.
Both issues are annoying and did only occur after the upgrade to FF 4.0.
What can I do to speed zotero up and make it usable again?
