Changing the Sort Order in Your Reports

Sorting reports of selected items by date ("?sort=date") only works whith the date format yyyy.mm.dd, as the reports are actually sorted by alphabetical order. Is there a possibility to sort them by their actual date? I have most of my items in the format dd.mm.yyyy, which works fine to sort the items in the normal zotero list...
