Upgraded Zotero - can no longer add/edit citations

Have upgraded to latest Zotero recently after which OO and Zotero and Firefox crashes/freezes each time I try to add citation/edit one to my doc.I then updated to latest OO to see if that would help but it hasn't.
sequence of events:
add citation or edit > all tabs/document freeze > blank white 'page > OpenOffice Not Responding (in headline) > go to shut down > message 'programme not responding' end now/cancel > shutdown

    What operating system, what version of Firefox, and what versions of Zotero and Zotero OpenOffice Integration are you using? (The latter should be shown in Tools->Add-ons->Extensions).

    Windows XP
    Firefox 3.6.16
    Zotero - i don't know which version (stupid as it may seem) I downloaded the 'new version' a week or so ago - so it looks as though it's 2.1.1 it is not 2.1.5
    Zotero OpenOffice Intergration 3.5a1

    You can check the version of Zotero you have installed with gear menu -> About Zotero.

    If you're using an older version, install Zotero 2.1.5 from zotero.org as a first step, and see if that helps.

    You're advice to install Zotero 2.1.5 worked - everything now seems to be working fine.
