Upgrade StorageMissing Zotero Toolbar in Mac OpenOffice

It seems a variety of people have this problem using other operating systems, etc. I am using what I think is a typical Mac set up: Mac OS 10.6.7 Firefox Browser 3.6.16 and OpenOffice.org 3.2.1 -- these are the most recent updates for the respective programs to by knowledge as of April 2011. Result? No Zotero toolbar in OOo.org.
I updated the Zotero Firefox plugin in to 2.1.5 and reinstalled the OOo.org toolbar when it disappeared, but it's still missing.
Any suggested fixes? I am not a programmer, but I believe I can follow clear instructions.

1: I missed the update because "Check for Updates" internal to the program didn't register it. When I went to the OO.org website the update was there.
2: The Toolbar still wasn't there until I went to Tools>Add Ons in Firefox and went into Zotero Preferences. There I clicked "Reinstall Extension" and then the Toolbar finally appeared.
