2.1.5 using older documents - can I downgrade?

I unfortunately added the upgrade without reading the fineprint! I am at the end of my dissertation and need to be able to edit / add more zotero fields. After the upgrade do I have any chance of downgrading to be able to edit my documents that I have been working on in zotero? Manually updating every field would be my last resort...

    What fine print? You can always use documents in a later version. You just can't use a document you used with a newer version with an older version.
    Use of Zotero 2.1 with your Word and OpenOffice documents will irrevocably upgrade them, and you will no longer be able to use them with earlier versions of Zotero.
