got this earlier when i tried to sync

    That indicates a problem with your WebDAV server. Zotero works with properly configured WebDAV servers.

    It doesn't make any sense. It's been syncing fine until now.

    Then given that the version of Zotero you're running hasn't been updated in half a year, there's no reason to think the problem is with Zotero.

    We support Zotero File Storage, and we've worked to ensure that Zotero works with properly configured WebDAV servers, but we can't debug problems with individual WebDAV servers unless we have a reason to suspect there's a bug in Zotero.

    Note that this could also be a problem with your network, proxy, security/firewall software, etc. As a test, you could try connecting with another WebDAV client.

    There's no real reason to think it would fix this, but in general I'd recommend upgrading to Firefox 4 and Zotero 2.1.
